Giving thanks for Cass and Jason!

Having Cassie and Jason come for Thanksgiving made the whole holiday so much more fun!

On Thanksgiving day, we made just about everything from scratch: here, the kids prepare Ba's potato rolls for the oven ...

... and here is the homemade pumpkin pie, with pretty dough accents made by Emma. My friend, Kim, is a pie whiz and gave me a couple of tips that resulted in great homemade pie crust!

Here's our table as it was being set, with little cornucopia accents made by the kids, plus Emma's amazing origami turkey place cards.

A close-up shot of one turkey and the cornucopias.

Daddy loved doing dishes at Thanksgiving. Don't worry ... he got in plenty of football-watching!

Cass and Jason enjoying our tasty meal! Looks bountiful, doesn't it?

Kate enjoyed having Cass and Jason here as much as (or more than!) anyone!

The whole Kratz family loves Aunt Cass' iPhone ...

... and several family members rode with her and Jason out to Clover to see Gram and Gramp Johnson.

Every kid fell asleep on the way to Clover! Look deceptively angelic, don't they? OK, I admit it ... they're actually pretty angelic when they're awake, too — one of the many blessings we are thankful for, this time of year and always!
